Hello Brian,

I am working on a wellness online community website. I have been debating to use Movabletype or Wordpress. Knowing that I want this website to evolve over time and stay on top of the newest trends,I am told that wordpress is the #1 in terms of number of programmerss developping tools-widgets-plug ins for this publishing platform.
Am I right?
Also I would like to have recommendations on what where I can find professional developpers who can help me develop customize a template for our needs? Any suggestions?

I can totally relate Brian. I just released my first theme, and initially wasn't planning on making it widget-ready... but the response I got seemed much in favor of widgetizing, so I caved. :)

@ Buxr - well said. Fear is a hang-up for me, but I recognize that so I'm trying to work on it.

Good post. IMHO fear is the #1 limitation of success in anything. It's either fear of success or failure..

I've never based theme selection on Widget readiness...
